Summer Bookings - 20th December through to 28th February

Summer is most loved time here at Pohara Beach! We have families who have been visiting us for 50+ years. We always look forward to having our Park humming and welcoming our guests for the Summer!

The information below applies to Summer bookings in the period 20th December through to 28th February. Please note, the Park policies are applicable to all bookings, including our Summer ones. We do our best to ensure all guests enjoy their time at Pohara, our policies and conditions are put in place to allow us to do this as best as possible.

Bookings made and confirmed prior to 30 June
  • A non-refundable $25 booking fee is required before 15th March of the Summer prior.
  • 50% deposit is required by 30th June to confirm your booking, with the balance due on arrival.
  • Refunds on deposits will only be made on cancellations and amendments received before 15th November where a full refund will be given less a $50 cancellation fee (per room/site) plus loss of any booking fee paid. Any amendments made after 30th June will incur a $50 charge.
  • No refunds will be given for any cancellations or amendments after 15th November. This includes early departures or late arrivals due to weather or other natural causes.
  • Management reserve the right to re-let in your absence or early departure.
  • Priority is given first to the occupiers of the site/room from the dates held the previous Summer. No priority is held if a Summer is missed.
  • A Summer request form can be filled out and if the previous holders don’t require their site/room. Management may offer to others at their discretion.

  • 50% deposit is required within 72 hours to confirm your booking, with the balance due on arrival.
  • Refunds on deposits will only be made on cancellations and amendments received before 15th November where a full refund will be given less a $50 cancellation fee (per room/site) plus loss of any booking fee paid. Any amendments made after 30th June will incur a $50 charge.
  • No refunds will be given for any cancellations or amendments after 15th November. This includes early departures or late arrivals due to weather or other natural causes.
  • Bookings made after 15th November, inside the no cancellation period, are 100% non-refundable.
  • Management reserve the right to re-let in your absence or early departure.
  • A $5 booking fee is charged per site/room.
Reservation and Payment Information
  • This information only applies to Summer Bookings in the period 20th December – 28th February and for bookings made direct through Pohara Beach TOP 10. If you have booked through a 3rd party you have agreed to their booking and cancellation policy, as well as all other policies of this property.
  • A booking is a contract. A booking is only confirmed only once a deposit has been paid (50% deposit is required for Summer bookings).
  • The balance of all bookings is payable on check-in/ arrival.
  • A Credit card is also required for an in-print, which will be charged for any extra’s, lost property or damage caused during your stay. Please look after this property as if it was your pride and joy!
  • Camp management retain the right to alter cabin or site arrangements to accommodate broader business needs.
  • From time to time we may offer special rates or discounts to various group memberships or specials. If you qualify, you may only apply one discount offer per stay. Membership discounts can only be obtained when the booking is in the membership holders name.
  • Your booking allocates only one vehicle per site. Please advise at the time of booking if you have a trailer or Boat and it must either fit on your site or, by prior approval only, we will try uor best to accommodate – this will depend if there are vacancies available. There may be additional charges of $10 per extra unit per day.
  • An automatic surcharge of 1.5% will be added to all payments by credit and debit card users.
  • All bookings remain at the discretion of the manager/ owners. Management reserve the right to refuse entry, at its sole discretion, if it believes the party;
      • it is not the person named on the reservation or the person named on the credit card or not unauthorised for the use of the card, or is not able to pay for any additional charges
      • may not respect the rules of the property or acts in a manner likely to affect other guests rights of enjoyment.
      • may cause damage to the property of the camp or other guests
      • may exhibit socially unacceptable behaviour
      • is younger than 18 years and not accompanied by a responsible person over that age.
      • is concealing an unauthorised people or animals.
      • the party is not of the character needed to operate within a campground environment.
Refund Information for ALL bookings
  • Refunds will only be processed to the payment source received and within 10 working days.
  • No refunds are given for;
    • Early departure on booked dates (including breaching our policies resulting in your booking being cancelled)
    • Weather conditions
    • Road closures
    • Transport delays
    • Other factors outside of your control
    • Covid cancellations – we no longer accept COVID cancellations due to isolation requirements being removed.
Credit Policy

Please note, all credits are at the sole discretion of Management and are only valid when agreed to by both parties. Accommodation booked using credits must be used on dates prior to the credit expiry – booking dates cannot be after the expiry. No credits are transferrable or refundable.
